Udayan Kapur is an architectural photographer with over 15 years of experience in documenting residential and commercial interiors and exteriors. Following the photography course at the renowned Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi in 2010, he has improvised the art of photography using light and shadow to elevate architectural photography.

With a unique approach to lighting, he adeptly utilises natural light and if required, flash equipment to create compelling, high-quality images. He has successfully photographed diverse projects including residential, commercial, office spaces and hospital interiors & exteriors. His specialized experience includes a long-standing role as an Official Airbnb Photographer for Delhi from 2011-25, having produced high-end imagery for over 2,000 properties.

He engages in meticulous planning before the shoot which is tailored to the client's vision to ensure every image serves as a visual story. By combining strategic, multi-angle compositions with natural and artificial lighting, he aims for key features and textures with details that blends with the environment.

His work was awarded by makemytrip for a listing he shot for a client under the category ’Eco-friendly homestay of the year’ in 2024.

Udayan is also an Amateur Astro-Photographer. He photographs Landscape-based milkyway, deep space objects like galaxies, nebulas and star clusters with a dedicated astro-gear.

His work is defined by a striking duality: documenting architectural and man-made structures by the day-time, and capturing celestial God-made objects by the night-time.
